Tis' the season....

of watermelon and Slip n Slides!!!  This a little backyard fun yesterday afternoon. Two things my kids love is watermelon and slip-n-sliding! One they did not inherit from me- this southern girl still has not developed a taste for watermelon!!

Happy Birthday Tate!

What better way to make my way back to blogging than a very special birthday....Tate is TWO!!! I can't believe it either, he is not a baby anymore, he is a running, swimming, talking, dancing, music playing, ball throwing, car loving little boy!!  He has the sweetest personality and loves to play- it is so fun watching him blossom!
Since we didn't have an official party for him this year, we decided to celebrate with our Sunday dinner friends, so here are a few pictures from last night(his actual birthday is Tuesday the 31st)!

We blew bubbles and swam in the kiddie pools and slip-n-slided....

Happy Birthday to Kate (and Me)!!

Happy Birthday to me thanks to Maya and her friend Ava Gray! Maya insisted that she "help" me make my birthday cake, I'm not sure she knows that you are not really supposed to have to make your own birthday cake, but I have to admit, this was kind of fun! So after school, Maya and Ava Gray ran in the house ready to bake! Maya was so sweet all day, she kept coming up to me and giving me a big hug and telling me, "Happy Birthday, Mommy, I love you!"
So the cake design was all their ideas, down to the colors and the even helped me spell "Happy Birthday", such smart girls! They even got to decorate their own cake!!

We got to celebrate Kate's 1st Birthday two days later and Maya was super excited to go to a birthday party!

Sunny Days!

To say the weather has been fabulous the last week would be an understatement! We were able to enjoy the beach in February (which I love) with some friends and have pretty much spent most of the days outdoors!! Here are a few pictures from the beach and our backyard!
