Rain puddles and busted lips

After running some errands yesterday, we arrived home during a rain shower and Maya was eager to play in the puddles since she had her rain boots on already, so why not? (There was no lightening or thunder and it was not cold!)  Of course, Tate was ready and willing to follow along- any excuse to play in any water is good with him! What's the saying? It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt! Well Tate had a little face to concrete driveway contact and the driveway won. He is a boy and it is bound to happen now and again, unfortunately this time it happened when Daddy wasn't home and there was a lot of blood for a little scrape for mommy to have to handle! No worries, everyone is fine!

Haircuts and Lollipops!

Tate had his first haircut today, without any tears from babe or mom!! He was a real trooper (the lollipop or three may have helped a bit)! Big sis, Maya, helped keep him entertained by blowing bubbles for him! Here are the before, during and after pics!

Getting a little shaggy and confused for a girl a little to often

Home Movie Monday!!

If this doesn't make you smile.....

This is Maya and Tate watching and dancing to the picture slideshow Tita made of our Disney World trip last year. This is only about the 100th time we've watched it and we get the same reaction every time!  I think it's time to go back to Disney World, Tita and Poppy.....

That was the first half of the slideshow, it last for twenty minutes and so does Maya and Tate's enthusiasm!

Tiny Dancer!

Words cannot express how excited Maya was to go to ballet class and luckily she was not disappointed. She was definitely in her element today! She twirled and whirled and learned to curtsy--so girlie!

Day of Firsts!

I am back on the blog and hopefully going to keep it better updated! I thought today would be a great day to start back since it was Maya and Tate's first day of "school"! Maya is now in 3 year old preschool and Tate is going to a mother's morning out at the same church preschool!  Both were very excited to go this morning and both of their teachers reported a great day! Their rooms are directly across the hall from each other, so Maya went on across while I was still dropping Tate off and was comfortably playing before I could get over there!  The first thing Maya said when I picked her up was, "I love my new school!"  That's my girl!!!
